Meet Our Team
We are THE SOUTHERN STRIDERS, and we are proud to take on the treadmill challenge at the 2026 VUSA 24-Hour Cycle Challenge.
While others will be cycling, we will be running. Our team will take turns on the treadmill throughout the day and night, keeping it moving for 24 hours to raise funds and create opportunities for children in Langa.
Why We Run
Every kilometre we cover represents our commitment to helping children build brighter futures.
VUSA Rugby and Learning Academy provides academic support, rugby development, nutritious meals and life-skills programmes to children aged 4–13. Funds raised through this challenge will help VUSA strengthen its literacy programmes, expand safe learning spaces and give children access to valuable resources and opportunities.
