Meet Southern Striders:
We are Southern Striders, a team brought together by a shared determination to create positive change.
During the 2026 VUSA 24-Hour Cycle Challenge, we will take turns cycling throughout the day and night. For 24 hours, we will keep the wheels turning to raise funds and expand opportunities for children in Langa.
Why We Ride:
We believe that meaningful change happens one step—or one kilometre—at a time.
VUSA Rugby and Learning Academy provides daily academic support, rugby development and life-skills programmes to children aged 4–13. The funds raised through this challenge will help VUSA strengthen its literacy programmes, expand safe learning spaces and provide children with resources that support their growth and development.
