Special Forces Lt. Col. Flip Marx

My name is Carien and I want to tell you about one amazing human, my father, Flip Marx. My father grew up poor on a farm in Beestekraal, at 17 he joined the military. He is the most ambitious, hardworking and kind hearted person you will ever meet. My father became the Lt. Col. at 5 Special Forces where he served with pride, in 1996 he resigned and went to Iraq, where he started a company supplying military vehicles to the US military. Throughout the years, the company grew substantially, he supplied the Royal Thai Army & the UAE military with vehicles. 

He always believed in paying it forward, from paying school fees to those who could not afford it, jobs for those who needed them, a house to stay in, food to eat. He even bought a plot and built basic infrastructure where homeless people can live, while working on the farm planting their own food, doing things like woodwork to sell their products to regain their dignity. He was involved in so many community projects, and never said no to anyone in need.
