Sponsor a Learner for Winter Jam 2026

There is something about the school holidays that people don’t always see.

For some learners, it’s a time to rest.
But for many of the young people we work with in Mamelodi, it’s a time where structure disappears, learning pauses, and the gap quietly grows a little wider.

That is why Winter Jam exists.

For 18 days during the winter school holidays, The Mamelodi Initiative opens a space where learners can come back to consistency in learning, to mentorship, and to being reminded that they are capable of more.

It’s not just about classes.

It’s about a learner who walks in unsure of themselves… and slowly begins to participate.
It’s about showing up every day and realising, “maybe I can do this.”
It’s about being seen.

This year, we are preparing to support over 450 learners.

And this is where we need your help.

What Your Support Does

It costs R908 ($54.75) to support one learner for the full programme. This campaign is for 275 of our 450 expected learners for Winter Jam 2026...
