The Pride Shelter Trust is the only LGBTQIA+ shelter in South Africa, based in Cape Town. Since 2011, the Shelter has provided a safe haven for countless people during crisis periods, ensuring residents the dignity they deserve while receiving essential services and support to be productive members of society.
The Pride Shelter Trust doesn't just provide a safe place for members of the LGBTQIA+ community to rest their heads at night, it provides a full range of psycho-social and personal development support programmes, health and wellness services with our network of partners, and reintegration support for residents to reach their full potential in society.
By sponsoring a resident for the next three months, funds you provide will ensure basic needs are met: accommodation, healthy food, toiletries and personal use items, utilities and internet for job prospects and training, as well as keeping our wide range of support programmes operational and of a high standard.
