Ten years ago, Brian's life changed forever when he was involved in a devastating motor vehicle accident that left him with a broken back and permanently paralysed. Despite this life-changing injury, Brian has never allowed his circumstances to define him. He has faced every challenge with remarkable courage, resilience, and determination.

Like many people living with paralysis, Brian developed severe pressure sores. Over the past few months, his condition worsened, requiring a full-time caregiver to assist with his daily needs. Since around January, he has been receiving continuous VAC (Vacuum-Assisted Closure) wound therapy, while dedicated wound care specialists treated him every week in the hope that his wounds would heal.
