About This Campaign

This fundraising campaign has been created to support 6-year-old Daniël Heystek and his family following a traumatic incident on 26 December 2025 that resulted in serious injuries and a long road to recovery.
The Road Ahead
Daniël’s recovery will take time, care, and multiple stages of medical treatment. His injuries have resulted in areas of permanent hair loss and scalp damage that will require future reconstructive surgeries, specialised follow-up care, and long-term monitoring as he grows.
In addition to physical healing, Daniël will need:
Ongoing specialist medical care
Future reconstructive and corrective procedures
Hospital visits, medication, and rehabilitation support
Emotional and psychological support as he recovers
These needs extend far beyond the initial hospitalisation and place a significant emotional and financial strain on the family.
