For more than three decades, I have dedicated my life to supporting survivors of gender-based violence in South Africa. Through Callas Foundation, based in Bridgetown on the Cape Flats in Cape Town, our team provides frontline support to all individuals who are experiencing abuse, trauma, and injustice.

On a daily basis we work with survivors who need safety, counselling, court support, and dignity.

At the same time, our community kitchen serves over 750 meals every day to families facing hunger and poverty. The kitchen has become a safe space where individuals can find support, guidance, and connection to services when they are experiencing violence.

Through our programmes we:
