Cholangiocarcinoma Cancer
She was diagnosed on 5 December 2025 with Cholangiocarcinomacancer (Liver cancer)
It's a rare, aggressive cancer forming in the bile duct, the tubes connecting the liver and gallbladder. It has spread to the liver where the tumor is situated. It has spreaded to the lumphnodes, lungs, abdomen.
At the moment when we should be focusing entirely on her treatment and recovery, we're facing an unexpected financial crisis that threatens health care and day to day living conditions
Treatment
Stefanie started her chemo treatment at the Mary Potter Oncology Centre on 24 December 2025. Making treatments possible regular blood works need to be done before any chemo treatment. In between chemo treatments she also receive CT/MRI scans.
She is currently still fighting this and chemo treatments are still underway and ongoing.
