Despite its many benefits, abundant resources, diverse people, and vast opportunities, South Africa is blighted by unacceptably high unemployment. Many capable minds are denied the chance to build careers, support their families, and contribute to society because they lack funding to complete their schooling or enter tertiary education.
Like many others, I have wondered what I can do. I have time to address this. To help address this predicament, I aim to raise funds to support financially disadvantaged students.
I am inviting sponsorship for a solo walk I will undertake from Mossel Bay, near the beginning of South Africa’s famous Garden Route, to Storms River and back to Plettenberg Bay. It will cover 300 km, averaging 20-25 km per day over 15 days.
