Windhoek, 12 February 2026 – Elizabeth Isai, 25, has progressed to the final stage of the Worldchefs Global Chefs Challenge set to take place in Newport, Wales on 16–19 May 2026. She stands poised to compete in the prestigious event after placing first in the challenge’s semi-finals for the Africa/Middle East category.
Elizabeth Isai, from Windhoek, completed her chef certification through the Namibian University of Science and Technology in 2020, took some extra cooking classes at local institutions and then proceeded to dazzle the Namibian and world culinary stages with her skill and passion. In 2022 she triumphed as the gold medalist and highest scoring participant–amongst over 100 chefs–of the WorldSkills Africa Competition that took place in Swakopmund.
