Hello, fellow Mzansi's supporters! 👋
The time has come to start fundraising for our 2026 season as transport and operational costs are at an all-time high, and we need all the support we can get! While we want to continue supporting community businesses as much as we can by working with local transport providers, the quotes are getting increasingly difficult to manage for a small non-profit like us 💸
Mzansi's Rugby Academy was founded in 2020 to support our local youth in Port Alfred with access to rugby and potentially greater educational opportunities through the vast rugby network that exists in South Africa today. We currently have three core teams, 1XV, U15 and U13, with a view to expanding into a young women's side this season 🏉
For context, taking one team of 20 kids and two coaches is currently quoted at R300pp = R6,600 return from Port Alfred to East London/Gqeberha. Closer fixtures include Makhanda, Alexandria, and Kenton, but we're still looking
