Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

For 2 and a half years now, I have been fighting a difficult uphill battle with cancer. As an artist, writer and community builder, it has significantly impacted my ability to work, create and contribute to our world, and often left me in isolating and debilitating pain. I am reaching out for support with my recovery, as I navigate the brutal maze that is the medical system.

So, what's the story?

Since March 2022, I’ve been on a tough journey with my health, experiencing unexplained and severe recurring illness that often lasted months at a time. Anaemia and chronic fatigue hit me hard, impacting my work and personal life in many unexpected ways. Doctors couldn't explain it. By May 2023, I had already used up all my sick and holiday leave, and I found myself relying on unpaid leave just to manage my symptoms.
