This festive season, St Luke’s Combined Hospices invites all South Africans to open their hearts
and help care for 600 vulnerable patients and their families living in Gugulethu, Khayelitsha,
Mitchells Plain, and Grassy Park.
Each day, our dedicated nurses, doctors, and counsellors provide holistic palliative care —
including home-based medical support, food parcels, emotional and spiritual counselling, and
bereavement care for families left behind.
Every terminally ill patient’s care costs approximately R2 471.85, and our goal is to raise R370 000
between 1 December 2025 and 5 January 2026 — ensuring that no patient faces the end of life
without comfort, dignity, and love.
This campaign is supported by Frank Rautenbach, beloved TV personality, actor, and
philanthropist, who joins us as our Brand Ambassador. Through his heartfelt messages, Frank
