We at Hout Bay Swimming Academy are clocking up kms in open water to bring practical water safety education to our local communities! We will be entering as many open water events over the coming months and donning our yellow caps to spread the sunshine far and wide!
This year we are partnering with The Darcey Sunshine Foundation to introduce water safety to the grade R curriculum of Hangberg and Sentinel Primary Schools. With approximately 450 young lives lost to drowning every year, education for our children really is essential! Your support will allow us to give each child class-based water safety education, 26 survival swim classes, beach safety awareness days and a full swim kit including costume, cap and towel.
