Taibah's fight against Osteosarcoma

Little Taibah was diagnosed with Metastatic Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in October last year. Before cancer, Mom describes her as her healthiest child — incredibly active and full of life.

Then everything changed.

Taibah endured 29 weeks of chemotherapy. After her first 10 weeks, she underwent major limb-salvage surgery. The tumour in her left knee was removed, and her femur and knee were replaced with a prosthesis.

While continuing chemotherapy, this brave little girl also had to learn to walk again.

By the end of July, her family believed they were finally approaching their victory lap.

But just two weeks into August, Taibah’s pain returned. Her prosthetic leg became stiff, and then her left eye began swelling and moving uncontrollably.
