My name is Abdul Raheem, also known as Raheem Kemet — a Durban-based artist, father, and founder of Raised By The Village (RBTV Collective).

I’ve spent over a decade in music and creative spaces, including being signed to Sony Music Africa. Now I’m working independently, building something that goes beyond just my own career — something that creates opportunity for others.

Over the past two years, I’ve undergone two surgeries on my lower back due to an alignment issue that has limited my mobility. While this has slowed me down physically, it forced me to refocus and build differently.

Working mostly from home, I used that time to fully develop the foundation of what I believe is my true path — RBTV Collective and The Soapbox Theory.

This isn’t about setbacks. It’s about redirection.
