Established in the 1970s Talisman Foundation is not just a facility — it is a home.
It is a place of safety, love, and belonging for some of the most vulnerable members of our society.

We care for adults living with mental disabilities, aged between 21 and 84, many of whom have nowhere else to go. For them, Talisman is not temporary — it is family. It is routine. It is stability. It is dignity.

Here, our residents are not just cared for — they are known, valued, and loved.

But Talisman’s impact reaches far beyond its walls.

Over the years, we have helped hundreds of individuals reintegrate back into their communities — restoring independence, rebuilding lives, and reuniting families. We have also supported South African university students through learning and practical training programs, contributing to the growth of future professionals in the health care sector.
