Help Tashriq Recover and Support His Family

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are reaching out to you on behalf of our dear friend and teammate, Tashriq, who recently suffered a severe injury while playing for the South African Deaf Rugby team during a test match against England. Tragically, Tashriq sustained a fractured skull and is now facing a challenging recovery period that will prevent him from working. He will also require surgery to repair the damage.

Tashriq is a dedicated freelancer, and as many of you know, this means that when he doesn’t work, he doesn’t get paid. The timing of this injury couldn’t be more difficult, as Tashriq has recently become a father to a premature baby girl. As a new dad, Tashriq was already under tremendous pressure to provide for his family, and now, with this unforeseen setback, those pressures have multiplied.
