Today, we are asking our community to help us give 17-year-old Tauqeer Roberts one very special night to remember. ❤️
Tauqeer is a Matric learner at Batavia School of Skills, and his Matric Ball takes place on 15 October. He also celebrates his 18th birthday on 20 August.
For most families, preparing for a Matric Ball is filled with excitement — choosing an outfit, arranging transport, taking photographs and watching your child walk out of the house looking their absolute best.
For Tauqeer’s mom, Chantel, there is the same excitement and pride — but sadly, she is simply not financially able to make it happen.
Chantel is 45 years old and battling Stage 4 cancer.
