Team Botswana Debate Fundraising Campaign

Teemane Oratory Academy is launching a national fundraising campaign to support the Botswana National Debate Team’s participation in the World Schools Debating Championship, scheduled for 14–24 July 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.

This historic participation marks the first time in more than 15 years that Botswana has qualified for the championship, providing the country with an important opportunity to return to the global debating stage and showcase the talent, intelligence and leadership potential of Botswana’s young people.

The delegation will consist of five student debaters and three technical team members, including coaches and team officials. Funds raised will support essential expenses such as registration fees, return flights, accommodation, meals, local transportation, travel documentation, training, team uniforms and competition materials.
