Hi, my name is Gershwin Madumo, and I am an 18-year-old Grade 12 learner at Waterstone College, where I proudly play 1st Team Rugby.
I have been playing rugby since I was 11 years old, and over the years it has become much more than just a sport to me… it has become a passion, a discipline, and a dream.
This December, I have been given the incredible opportunity to travel to Ireland with the BRSI Bulldogs Rugby Tour Ireland 2026 from 5 December for a 10-day rugby tour. This is an opportunity to compete against international teams, experience a different rugby culture, grow as a player, and create memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
My long-term dream is to continue developing my rugby career and, hopefully one day, play professionally. Experiences like this tour are an important step towards that goal.
