Thabo Dikgoele Cancer campaign

Meet Thabo Lawrence Phuthi Dikgoetle,  43yrs old,  one of our valued patients in our unit. He's a radio presenter and DJ, well known in the community.   Thabo has been with us for some time now, and he knows everyone here—just as everyone knows him. He is comfortable in his surroundings and has embraced the fact that the care he needs is at hospice.

In his own words: “When I heard I had to come here, I was frightened because my idea of hospice was completely different from what I found. I am surrounded by love and exceptional care, and I am pain-free. Sometimes, I can’t believe it!”

During Hospice Week, we want to raise awareness about the vital services that hospices provide, the importance of palliative care, and the necessity of ensuring access to this care for all those in need.

There is so much more we can and need to do!
