I work as an external marker in the English Department (module 1503) of Unisa. I am the sole breadwinner in a family of five. In August 2023 I submitted claim forms for which I had to paid at the end of October 2023. However, on 31 October 2023 an administrative officer in the English department informed me I would not be paid as I had not signed my claim forms. Surely somebody knew in August or September that my forms were not signed, yet I was never informed.
