WHERE IT BEGAN

Music has been Bruce’s life. As an accomplished musician, sound engineer and producer, working in his studio recording bands and performing at live gigs are his twin passions. His musical journey began at the age of four when he studied classical piano under Isadore Epstein in Johannesburg. This all changed at the age of thirteen when he discovered Led Zeppelin and Rock and Roll and found himself naturally drawn to playing the drums.
During compulsory army training Bruce auditioned on piano and was accepted into the Entertainment Group to complete his service. It was there that he began to take drumming more seriously and on completion of his service bought himself his first drum kit, a Ludwig Octa-plus.
