Inspired by a little girl (named Lebone ~ which means light is Sesotho) born with Trisomy 18, a child overlooked by a system that too often fails to see the worth in children with disabilities , one mother (Phetola Makhetha) chose not to stay silent. She stepped into the gap, not just for her own child, but for countless others and founded the Global Inclusion Foundation, an organisation dedicated to championing the rights of children whose needs are so often left out of the conversations that matter most.
