The New Beginnings Project

My name is Jeffrey Doveton I am 54 years old and I have been a Goldsmith all my life  .I live in Cape Town and I run a small jewellery business called "Resinate Collection".

Late last year I noticed that the security guard was not at the local shop that I went to . I then found him in the parking lot with a beat up old plastic table and a broken gazebo , barely holding up to the wind. Selling Boerewors rolls . Turns out that he had had a stroke and then got retrenched as he could not perform the duties that he needed to.

So a plan unfolded in my head to make him a proper "Boerewors Stand " . What I built him was totally out of recycled and scrap wood .I hand stitched the tarp from an old gazebo and scratched up enough nails and screws . I got the wheels donated by a company . See images.

So this project has got me thinking about the direction that I want to go in my life even if it is just for a short while ,or until the need is fulfilled ( who knows South Africa is a big place ) I would like to build more units that I can give ( for free) to the i...
