I’m Aaisha, a small business owner from Cape Town who has decided to make a difference in my community, by using my business' social media platforms, with an outreach program that focuses on period poverty.
"The Pink Project" started off as a campaign to assist with period poverty within my community, and during the month of August we were able to donate 300 packs of sanitary pads to a school in need. We are now expanding our efforts to acquire other hygiene products for both girls and boys, as physical hygiene is of utmost importance starting from a very young age. We would like every young child to feel dignified and fresh when they leave their home.
My goal is to raise enough funds and acquire as many donations as possible in order to purchase sanitary/hygiene products that will be distributed to schools within the Mitchell's Plain District.

- Soap Bar
