The Run For Recovery Project

My name is Chantelle and after a two decade long battle I am healed from addiction to alcohol and substance abuse. 

Part of my healing journey lead me to pursue extreme mountain running and during an event at the end of 2024 I felt called to do something more with my story. After reaching out to mentors and speaking with my table of counsel I feel there is an urgent to need to raise awareness about this disease both for addicts and their loved ones and to raise funds for their recovery.

After meeting with different facilities in and around Zimbabwe I found a recovery retreat that aligns with my way of thinking about healing. With over two decades of experience, Paul Nobes challenges the status quo of unsuccessful treatment models used by traditional rehabilitation centers around the world and runs the first 12 step African Wilderness Recovery Retreat and focuses on a unique one to one experience working a program of recovery in serenity with nature.
