Captain Fanplastics' #MascotMarathon on International Coastal Cleanup Day!

Captain Fanplastic founder Ruben Hazelzet will take on an epic coastal challenge: visiting 10 iconic Cape Town beaches in one day while wearing the official Captain Fanplastic mascot suit. Along the route, the Captain will join other organizations to help collect litter, encourage clean up volunteers and teach you how to #DontTakeTheBait.

The challenge aims to raise R100,000 to provide environmental literacy programmes and resources to 1,000 learners at public primary schools along the coastline. By supporting Captain Fanplastic, you will help inspire a new generation to reduce plastic pollution before it reaches our beaches and oceans.

Follow the journey from Melkbosstrand to Monwabisi Beach.

One day. Ten beaches. R100,000 to keep 1,000 learners active.
