On 26 February 2026, Theo left work in Paarl on his motorcycle, heading home so he could fetch his bakkie and collect his children from aftercare. His wife was away for work, and like any loving, responsible father, Theo was simply doing what fathers do every day — making sure his children were safe.
He never made it home.
Just 20 km from home, a negligent driver turned directly in front of him, colliding with Theo and his motorcycle and causing a catastrophic accident that would change his family’s life in an instant.
Theo was left fighting for his life.
