Hi all.
Most of you know the story. It's very long and complicated but the bottom line is, mom's had multiple strokes and is bed ridden. We have managed to hire a hospital bed and day time carer. There's impaired brain function and probability of her walking again is almost 0.
It's taken a huge bout of courage for me to start this page. I don't like asking for help. Taking care of my mom should be my responsibility. But we are realizing quite quickly that we might sink ourselves if we don't ask for help.
Medical bills at the moment are R41234.55. Monthly costs excluding those bills are about
R15000 excluding meds
These are just basic needs. If we are to hire a hoist to enable us to get her out the bed every now and then, that's an additional R2475 for example.
