This Fight is Bigger than Me - I Need Your Help

Hi, my name is Prenisha.

In June 2024, I was diagnosed with stage 3 bladder cancer. Over the past year, my health has steadily declined despite treatment. I’ve experienced repeated hospital admissions, invasive procedures, kidney failure requiring a stent and dialysis, and increasing strain on my heart.

More recently, I was told that my cancer has progressed to stage 4 and has spread to multiple areas, including my spine, brain, heart, and other organs. This has changed the course of my treatment and my day-to-day life significantly.

Some days I am able to function and continue teaching online, which helps me maintain a sense of independence. Other days, pain, fatigue, and shortness of breath make even basic tasks difficult.

The financial impact has become overwhelming. The costs of ongoing cancer treatment, dialysis, scans, medication, specialist appointments, hospital admissions, and transport are more than I can manage alone, especially as my ability to work continues to decline.
