My Dad Thomas Henry Phillips is humble, helpful and hopeful man. He was always the one rescuing people stuck on the side of the road. He always offers to help people who need a washing machine or other appliance fixed. He has helped so many people and does not ask for anything in return.
Sadly in July 2025 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He started his chemotherapy and the first type of treatment was just too harsh on his body. They have now changed his treatment and he is doing much better on the new chemotherapy.
The problem is the cost. His new chemotherapy is +- R 60 000 per cycle. His Medical aid does cover the first R250000 but thereafter there is a 20% co-payment. The co payment is then +- R12000.00 per cycle.
For a man who spent his whole life helping others…I am hoping to help him now. My Dad loves the Lord, he loves his children, he loves his partner, he loves his dog and he loves fishing.
I just want to make his battle against this awful disease just a little bit easier.
