Aunty Tinkie and Greg Havenga feed the community
Jozeen Dreyer, lovingly known as Aunty Tinkie, was born so tiny she could fit inside a shoebox. Her mother gave her the nickname “Tinkie,” a name that would one day carry a testimony of grace and redemption. Her journey has not been easy. Over five years she battled cancer and endured eight throat operations. In 2010, she fell into a coma for five days. Her family and doctors had lost hope… but Jesus.
By the mercy of God, she woke up, healed. In that moment, she encountered the living Christ, and her life was no longer her own. With a surrendered heart, she declared:
“Here I am, Lord. Use me. I will serve You.” From that revelation of Jesus Christ, a calling was born.
In 2015, together with her mother and late mother-in-law, Mary Dreyer, she began the Tinkies Feeding Scheme from her home in Sarepta. What started as simple obedience has become a vessel of God’s love in action. Today, she serves around 250 meals every Tuesday and Thursday to children, adults, and pen...
