UPDATE 21 JULY:
Thank you for supporting me in my Cycling Career and the trip to Canada. I am incredibly grateful and blown away by your kindness.
Unfortunately, I have had to withdraw my name from the team going to Canada. The demand for flights after Covid has just made prices skyrocket, and the hotels are also too expensive with our exchange rate. The trip would have been close to 200k for myself and my carer, and SA Cycling would not have sent any support personnel due to their own lack of funding.
I had such amazing support from you on Backabuddy, friends abroad and friends locally, but we just couldn't pull it off this time. I was truly humbled by the people who tried to help me to get to Canada. I am as disappointed for myself as I am for them and their efforts!
So as my competitions for 2022 come to an end, and as far as races are concerned, it wasn't a go...
