Our Story

Loeriesfontein is a small, remote town in the Northern Cape, home to farmers, wind and solar farm workers, and everyday families. When you get a flat tyre out here, there's no quick fix around the corner. For years, a local garage served this community. When it closed, it left a gap nobody filled.

We are two brothers, born and raised in Loeriesfontein, determined to fill that gap. My name is Albie, and together with my brother Piet and our father, we started Torque & Tread, a 24/7 mobile tyre repair, fitment, call-out, and breakdown service in our hometown. The road here has been a relentless battle against setbacks.

The Road That Brought Us Back

I left Loeriesfontein in 2020 for the Western Cape; my brother followed in 2022. By late 2024, a failed business venture left us both unemployed.

Then the hits kept coming. In February 2025, a veldfire tore through the farm where my brother, his wife, and our father were living, destroying the water and electricity infrastructure. They had to move into our crowd...
