Sunel Combrinck is the writer of the Ontwaking van Winter (Winter's Awakening) Young Adult book series that currently has 2 books and 1 novella that has been published in Afrikaans and is well loved by the Afrikaans Young Adult reading community. Additionally, the fourth book is in progress in Afrikaans.
There have been requests from non-Afrikaans readers to have these books translated into English so they can also enjoy these books. Her publishers require R25 000 per book to translate these books into English so these stories can reach a broader audience.
As a lover of these books and the author, I'm heading this campaign so that Sunel has the opportunity to translate her books and work with her publishers to get these books out across South Africa in English.
