Help Tylor Pillay Reach His Dream

Tylor is a 17-year-old Grade 11 teenager from Phoenix, Durban. Tylor lived a normal life with the dreams and ambitions of any young man nearing the end of his schooling career; excited about the future. However, that all came crashing down after an innocent day of family fun at the beach turned into a day Tylor and his family wish never had happened. That fateful day, the 15th of December 2023, Tylor was hit by a wave that broke his vertebra (resulting in a C4 spinal cord injury) leaving Tylor paralysed. 

This tragedy has left Tylor paralyzed from his neck to his feet. This means that he is unable to move and feel below his neck. Through intensive rehabilitation at Nurture iLembe Rehabilitation Centre, he has regained some movement in his arms, and he shows great potential of being able to use a motorised wheelchair as a form of mobility.
