What began as a deeply personal loss became something much bigger, something we could never have imagined. Today, we are raising funds not just in memory of a remarkable woman, but to continue a fight that is far from over for the hundreds of families we talk to every year with similar stories like ours.

Where It All Began

The Glynnis Gale Foundation was not born out of ambition. It was born out of grief, shock, and an overwhelming need for answers.

Glynnis de Klerk was my mother, a grandmother, and someone who had never worked in mining, construction, or any industry typically associated with asbestos.

And yet, she died from mesothelioma—a devastating cancer caused by asbestos exposure.
