Welcome to the Ubuntu Gaming Network! In South Africa, the online gaming market is a massive economic engine, generating over 1.6 billion US dollars in revenue. This isn't just play; it's a rapidly growing industry creating pathways for our youth in coding, design, and esports.

Besides playing, building this industry creates many jobs for other people, such as Wi-Fi technicians, computer engineers, and security guards, which benefits everyone.

This survey is for collecting data. Our government thinks we do not have many gamers, but we actually have a lot. 

We are planning to run a campaign to engage with the government.

Should focus on these three things:

​Demand "Equitable Funding": Argue that if esports is an official sport, it should have access to the same government development grants, bursaries, and facility support as other sporting codes.

​Move from "Mind Sport" to "Major Sport": The current classification might be limiting the scope of funding. You can advocate for a shift in policy that recognizes esports as a "High-Growth Digital...
