UFS Kovsie moot competition

Hi everyone 🤍

We are a team of first-year law students who have been given the extraordinary opportunity to represent our university at the UFS Kovsie Moot Competition, taking place at the Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein - one of the highest courts in South Africa.

A moot court competition is a simulated court case where law students argue fictional legal disputes before a judge, preparing written legal arguments and presenting oral submissions as if they were in a real courtroom. It is one of the most important ways we develop advocacy, legal reasoning, and courtroom skills as future legal professionals.

For us, this is more than just a competition. It is an opportunity to step into the world we dream of becoming part of, to grow as future legal professionals, and to stand in spaces we have worked incredibly hard to reach.

Unfortunately, the costs of travel, accommodation, and other expenses make it difficult for us to attend without financial support.
