On 25 October 2025, our lives changed forever. My brother Jason (21) was involved in a tragic diving accident that left him paraplegic. The impact fractured his C4 and C5 vertebrae, with damage extending to C7.
He was rushed from Warmbaths, Bela-Bela to Polokwane Hospital, where he is now awaiting spinal surgery. Jason faces a long and difficult road ahead, but his determination and courage has already shown just how strong he is.
At only 21, Jason’s life has taken a sudden turn, but he refuses to give up. Once his surgery is complete, he’ll need intensive rehabilitation, a wheelchair, specialised equipment, home adjustments, and ongoing therapy to rebuild his independence and quality of life.
We’ve created this campaign to support Jason’s recovery and aftercare journey, every donation and share helps give him the tools, therapy, and environment he needs to move forward with strength and hope.
