UP Health Sciences Miles That Matter

Seven staff members from the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Pretoria (UP) are lacing up for the Two Oceans Marathon, taking on 21km, 56km, and for some, both, all in support of one powerful goal: helping students succeed.

Through this initiative, every step will contribute to the Faculty’s Life Changers Fund, a dedicated fund that supports students whose academic journeys are threatened by financial burdens. During 2026, in just under three months, over R1.2 million from the Life Changers Fund has already supported students in need.

Our students are high performers who will one day be South Africa’s future healthcare professionals.
