My parents have always been the kind of people who give quietly. The kind who help others without asking for anything in return. I know this because I’ve been lucky enough to experience their generosity my whole life.

They built their life together in beautiful Mozambique through hard work, love, and resilience. It was more than just a place they lived — it was home. It’s where so many of their memories and friends were made, and where many of my most cherished recent memories with them were formed too.

One of the most special places in that life was their lodge — Vertigo Lodge de Estaurio.

I remember the first time we stayed there together as a family. The calm, the tranquility, the feeling that time slowed down the moment you arrived. Family dinners that turned into long evenings filled with laughter, stories, and the simple joy of being together. It quickly became my favourite place in the world to visit.
