I’m Dr. Tristán Kapp—a young emerging public-facing scholar, writer, and advocate dedicated to challenging misconceptions about secularism, new religious movements, and alternative spiritualities in South Africa and beyond. For years, I’ve built my platform from the ground up, using only the most basic tools—without professional equipment—to engage thousands in critical and factually reliable conversations. Through sheer dedication and hard work, I’ve fostered a space where those who don’t fit into mainstream religious, social, and cultural contexts can be heard, protected, and empowered.

But this has not come without any challenges. My advocacy for the marginalised and misunderstood has consistently made me a target for online bullying and oft times, professional marginalisation.
