💔In a heartbreaking situation that no family should ever face, both Ryan and Nix Walsh have been diagnosed with aggressive cancers — at the same time.
Ryan is fighting Stage 3 Melanoma, with complications relating to his lymph system.
Nix has been diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer — one of most aggressive forms there is.
They are parents. Fighters. Deeply devoted to their two beautiful daughters.
Ryan and Nix have each begun their individual battles against cancer. For each of them, immunotherapy treatment is absolutely vital. While medical aid and personal savings are helping cover chemotherapy, surgery, scans, tests and specialists’ fees – immunotherapy is not covered.
😲The estimated cost of immunotherapy treatment for both of them is high. Thankfully foundations like AICF have provided discounts on immunotherapy which has brought the costs down massively to R1.5million for them both.
This is a staggering amount, and the financial burden is simply too great to carry alone.
