For the past three years, my family and I have been living without a reliable water source on our land in Zeerust, North West, South Africa. The borehole we once depended on has completely run dry, leaving us in a daily struggle for one of life’s most basic needs: clean water.

Without water on the property, we’ve had no choice but to buy water and depend on others for delivery. Every drop has to be rationed carefully—just enough for drinking, cooking, and basic washing. There’s nothing left for crops, gardens, or animals. It has been three long years of stress and uncertainty, living day by day and never knowing when the next container of water will arrive.

This constant struggle has placed a heavy burden on our family. Without water, we cannot plant crops, grow food, or keep animals. That means no opportunity to generate income from the land and no way to create stability for the future. The stress of not having such a vital resource has been overwhelming.
