Wendy's Karate Trip to Japan

I’m reaching out with deep gratitude and overwhelming excitement to share that I’ve been selected to represent South Africa at the World Karate Championships in Japan in August 2025. This is more than a competition for me—it’s the chance of a lifetime to fulfill a dream I’ve held close to my heart. I’m honored not only to showcase South African talent on an international stage but also to train in Japan, the birthplace of karate, and visit the Honbu Dojo, the very heart of my karate style. This journey is my opportunity to connect with the roots of the art I love and strengthen my practice in ways I’ve only ever imagined.

Preparing for an experience like this brings significant challenges, especially with the costs of travel, accommodations, intensive training, and competition fees.
