On Saturday, 8 August 2026, 12-year-old Willbrey Prinsloo was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy after suddenly developing significant weakness and pulling on one side of his face.
But Willbrey’s symptoms have raised further concern.
His face is being pulled noticeably to one side, and his speech has changed dramatically — he is now speaking in a way that sounds much younger than his age, almost like a 4-year-old.
Because of these additional symptoms, his doctors want him to undergo further investigations, including blood tests and scans, to determine what is causing these changes and to rule out any other possible neurological problems.
