Robin's Story
Robin is a joyous, charming little boy who loves jumping on the trampoline, going for a swim, and watching Barney. He’s adored by his 11-year-old big brother and has a wonderful way of charming everyone he meets.
Over the years, we’ve navigated a complex medical and developmental path with him. Robin is hypermobile, but thanks to physio starting around 18 months, he was walking by age two. He also attends occupational and speech therapy, and while he mostly communicates through joyful babbling, occasional words, and pulling us toward what he needs, his progress is a constant delight.
His journey has also required deep resilience on sleep and medical fronts. He struggled with sleep from birth due to silent reflux and waking every 45 minutes, eventually leading us to consult a pediatrician and neurologist. Following an MRI, EEG, and sleep study last year, his doctor adjusted his Risperdal and added 6mg SR Melatonin. Combined with our consultations with a kinesiologist and homeopathic remedies, he is finally sleeping most nights until about 3:00 or 4:0...
